# Teach me about Crucibles ## What is a Crucible? A Crucible is an ERC-721 NFT (Non-Fungible Token) which is minted via [crucible.wtf](https://crucible.wtf) ([How do I mint a Crucible](/guides/how-do-i-mint-a-crucible)). Crucibles are stored in an Ethereum wallet and can be used as a smart wallet for other ERC20 tokens. This gives two immediate benefits; 1. Separate asset management between Crucibles while maintaining a single wallet 2. The ability to transfer your Crucible with its contained assets between wallets in a single transaction. So understanding that a Crucible is able to hold ERC20 tokens, this also opens the possibility to store LP tokens within a Crucible as well. LP tokens are commonly used to participate in staking programs and earn some form of rewards. Taking part in these staking programs would usually mean transferring custody/ownership of your tokens in order to accrue rewards. Crucibles allow you to do things differently, in addition to being a smart wallet, Crucibles also contain a vault mechanism that allows you to stake your tokens to **non-custodial** reward programs, locking them within the Crucible until you leave a program — i.e. earn rewards without giving up possession of your tokens. Not only is your Crucible smart and capable, it also has [artwork](/guides/artwork-of-the-crucible) that is able to evolve over time based on your activity. ## What is an NFT? It stands for Non-Fungible Token. "Non-fungible" means "unique" unlike a standard token which shares the same token address, an NFT has it's own unique address. NFTs are a direct contrast to coins: * Coins: 1⚗️ is 1⚗️, they have equivalent value and use * NFTs: a Crucible NFT is not equal to another Crucible NFT and it is very unlikely that any two Crucibles have equivalent value This is an important point to understand, because people have [already started listing](https://opensea.io/collection/alchemist-crucible-v1) their Crucibles for sale on platforms such as OpenSea. ## How do you mint a Crucible? Please use the guide [How do I mint a Crucible?](/guides/how-do-i-mint-a-crucible) to learn the steps to mint your first Crucible. ## What is a Crucible worth? The value of a Crucible is not one that is determined by its [traits](/guides/artwork-of-the-crucible) alone. Crucibles have been designed to hold all types of ERC20 tokens including those with an underlying value such as an LP token. Crucibles can also store ETH, so when determining the value of a Crucible, its underlying assets will have a direct impact on its value. Assets that are also 'staked' or 'subscribed' to programs within a Crucible may have accrued rewards which have been unclaimed, this is a further measurable value that can be considered when evaluating a Crucible. At a minimum, you could value a Crucible based on what you would receive back for unsubscribing its LP contents and trading back to your fiat currency. Gas prices continuously fluctuate and this plays a major role on how much gas you are expected to pay, for this reason we are unable to give an indication. We can say however, that you should take into account the value of your tokens against the cost of gas when you are about to submit a transaction to mint or interact with a Crucible/reward program. #### True non-custodial participation Crucibles have been designed so you can gain rewards on underlying tokens within your Crucible without transferring the tokens away to third party contracts.\ \ This is done by the Vault mechanism of your Crucible that interacts with the reward program contracts to verify the token balance and lock it against the delegate. When you are subscribed to a reward program, you are still holding your tokens within your Crucible, and your Crucible remains within your Wallet. #### Transferring assets efficiently between wallets You can use your Crucible as a method of storage for your ERC20 tokens and ETH, and fast and efficiently transfer your Crucible between your wallets. This means your Crucible and its underlying tokens will be transferred between your wallets in a single transaction. #### Managing multiple portfolios within a single wallet Crucibles enable you to be able to hold multiple inventories within a single wallet/EOA. \ You can use a Crucible to store specific assets that you want to separate from other asset holdings in your wallet, or even hold multiple Crucibles and store different tokens in each Crucible.\ \ This is particularly useful if you are holding assets on behalf of others or wish to benchmark different strategies with different Crucibles. This also means you can even sell a Crucible complete with its underlying assets in a single bundle. #### Crucibles evolve based on your activity (Pro/Platinum Crucibles only) Crucible artwork is not just an image or a video, but it’s an interactive visualization, fully 3D and rendered in real-time. It’s not only a generative piece of art based on your crucible ID, but also an evolving and living companion to your DeFi journey. The Crucible artwork will change with time and with your interactions, and will also act as a gateway to future possibilities with the Alchemist ecosystem. Crucibles are ERC-721 tokens and signing these transactions are not supported by all Wallet Applications. Please refer to our [wallet compatibility guide.](/wallet-compatibility) ## How many LP tokens do I need to create a Platinum Crucible? Community members have successfully minted a Platinum Crucible with as low as 0.01 LP tokens. Of course, a Crucible still costs gas to mint, so please take into consideration this cost when creating one with minimal LP. Remember, you earn rewards proportional to your LP share of the total LP staked in the Aludel v1.5. ## Can I create multiple Crucibles? Yes you can. Many users in the community have already minted multiple Crucibles, at the time of writing there are more than 12% of unique EOAs with multiple Crucibles. ## How do I view my tokens on MetaMask? If you have not done this already, please refer to our 2-part guide on [Acquiring ⚗️ & Adding Liquidity](/acquiring-and-adding-liquidity). Once you've obtained MIST-WETH LP then you can continue to follow the steps below {% hint style="success" %} Your MIST-WETH LP used to mint a Crucible is automatically subscribed to Aludel v1.5. ## **Congratulations, if you've made it this far, you're now an Alchemist** # What can I do with my new Crucible? There are a number of things you can do with your newly minted crucible, below are the most common things that you can do using [crucible.wtf](https://crucible.wtf) * [Checking your rewards](#checking-your-rewards) * [Increasing your Subscription Stake](#increasing-your-subscription-stake) * [Checking balances of current subscriptions or token balances within to your Crucible](#checking-balances-of-current-subscriptions-or-token-balances-within-your-crucible) * [Transferring your Crucible to another wallet](#transferring-your-crucible-to-another-wallet) * [Locating and Copying your Crucible Address](#locating-and-copying-your-crucible-address) * [Viewing your Crucible Artwork](#viewing-your-crucible-artwork) * [Interacting with your Crucible Artwork](#interacting-with-your-crucible-artwork) * [Sharing your Crucible Contents and/or Artwork](#sharing-your-crucible-contents-and-or-artwork) ## Checking your rewards 1. Open [crucible.wtf](https://crucible.wtf) connect your wallet and visit "Your Crucibles" tab. 2. Once on the "Your Crucibles" tab, click on the crucible that you want to view the rewards from.\ 3. Your Crucible should now show you a summary of its contents, it will also show you your "Locked" tokens, which represent your active subscriptions\ 4. If you want to see more detailed rewards, click on the button next to the relevant subscription and then click "View \ Rewards" \ \ 5. You should now be shown a more complex list of statistics under the tab "Rewards", including information about the reward multiplier, the value of your positions and your subscribed & unsubscribed LP.\ ## Increasing your Subscription Stake {% hint style="info" %} This example is based on Aludel v1.5. Other reward programs may use different types of tokens for subscribing. {% endhint %} 1. Follow steps 1 - 5 from [Checking your Rewards](/guides/what-can-i-do-with-my-new-crucible#checking-your-rewards) 2. Click the "Subscribe" button \ 3. Select whether you want to add your subscription from your Crucible or Wallet \ 4. Specify how much LP you wish to increase your subscription by and press "Add Subscription" \ 5. Sign 1 signature requests and confirm the transaction request. 6. Your LP should now be submitted to be subscribed to the Crucible, you can view your transaction using either of the prompts that appear after your transaction has been submitted\ \ 7. Once the transactions are complete, your Crucible should now contain your newly submitted LP. \ ## Checking balances of current subscriptions or token balances within your Crucible 1. Open [crucible.wtf](https://crucible.wtf), connect your wallet and visit "Your Crucibles" tab. 2. Once on the "Your Crucibles" tab, click on the crucible that you want to view the rewards from.\ 3. Your Crucible should now show you a summary of its contents\ \ `Locked Assets` are tokens that are currently subscribed to reward programs and are unable to be moved away from your Crucible until they are unsubscribed from the programs that they are locked to.\ \ `Unlocked Assets` are tokens within your Crucible that are currently free to be transferred in or out of your Crucible.\ \ ## Transferring your Crucible to another wallet You can transfer your Crucible to another wallet without affecting the tokens that are within it or the active subscriptions. Everything within the Crucible will be maintained. 1. Open the "Your Crucibles" page 2. Locate your Crucible on the left hand side that you wish to transfer, and click the icon 3. Click the "Transfer" option on the menu that has popped up\ 4. Enter the wallet address you wish to send the Crucible to in the "Recipient Address" field (Must be ERC-721 Compatible) and press "Transfer Crucible"\ 5. You will get prompted to confirm the transfer, make sure the wallet address is correct before submitting it. \ 6. The Crucible will now be on its way to its new wallet, use the links in the notifications to monitor the transaction. ## Locating and Copying your Crucible Address 1. Open the "Your Crucibles" page. 2. Locate the Crucible that you want to copy the address from and click the icon 3. Click the "Copy" option on the menu that pops up and your Crucible address will now be in your Clipboard. \ ## Viewing your Crucible artwork You can now view your Crucible either on the Crucible website or on most NFT websites. The variation for each trait has a rarity and is picked based on the transaction details of when the crucible was minted. Each trait represents one aspect of the Crucible and will evolve over time with new features. The Crucible artwork also represents your current and historical interactions. Even if you have unsubscribed from reward programs, your progress is represented. But of course, having assets locked in your Crucible will also make it look more alive. ### The Shell ![](https://miro.medium.com/max/700/1*_XXH5huIrBRc7VkPQAfQPg.png) Containing the other pieces is the shell, which is composed of a few different pieces, making each Shell very different to the other. The Shell is made of an Outer Ring, an Inner Ring, an Ornament Ring, a Star and a piece of Glass on top. The higher your level, the more effects will be added to your Central Gem and to the Elemental Gems around it. ### The Clock ![](https://miro.medium.com/max/700/1*KlBrRJhbmf9f0w8Fa6_r9w.png) With the emphasis on balance, equilibrium, and an appreciation of the required alignments, Alchemists hold a deep respect for precision timing. Accordingly, alchemical artifacts increasingly featured delicate instruments in order to provide stringent and exacting measurements. The Clock represents the mint timestamp of your Crucible, and clicking on it will show the mint number of your Crucible and the mint date. ### The Reward Programs ![](https://miro.medium.com/max/700/1*ZMyC_2UyAgC2SRZZlkef7g.png) Your participation in Reward Programs is represented by a disc with 8 slots in the back of your Crucible. Based on your history of participation, the Crucible will represent up to 8 reward programs you subscribe to. A new coin will be added for each reward program, and coins will be stacked as your multiplier grows. When you reach the highest multiplier, a total of 10 coins will be stacked creating a tower of coins, with the project that created the program’s logo on top of it, glowing. ### Frame & The Balance Rings ![](https://miro.medium.com/max/700/1*vXnISn_8L60kd3JqS59UsQ.png) Around the frame of the Crucible and encircling its core elements there’s a piece with 4 arcs engraved on it on each side. If your Crucible has locked assets inside it, you will also notice some glowing rings show up on top of it! The Balance Rings represent the current balanced locked in your Crucible, and only the most devoted Alchemists will reach the maximum thresholds: * 1st Ring: $5k * 2nd Ring: $10k * 3rd Ring: $50k * 4th Ring: $100k ### Runes & Achievements ![](https://miro.medium.com/max/700/1*QFwJagR8fAVfu2Q6PjErgg.png) On the edge of the Crucible base there’s a ring formed of 27 runes. The runes represent your feats as an Alchemist, and they will get pressed down and highlighted when you unlock one of the requirements. At this moment of launch, we have 4 Achievements: * Participation in Aludel v1 * Participation in at least 3 Reward Programs * Achieved 100% Multiplier in at least 1 Reward Program * Achieved 100% Multiplier in at least 3 Reward Programs But since we have 27 Runes, there’s many more in store. ### Planetary Clock & Gyroscope ![](https://miro.medium.com/max/700/1*wYQSZxWL-MYUyNuNYXkxIg.png) Representing the tools of alchemists of old and how they measured time, the Planetary Clock represents our connection to the Alchemist community and ecosystem. The Gyroscope currently doesn’t represent or do anything, but this is a planned feature and more is coming Stay tuned for new features surrounding it! ## Special features for Aludel v1 Crucible holders We did not forget our old school users, the people in our community that minted a Crucible before all this was possible. For those who minted before Aludel v1 was turned off, we prepared a few special features: * A special “title” added to the name of their Crucible: “Arcane” * A special background visual effect, lighting up the galaxy behind them. The nebula effect is also more dense the older the crucible is, so it’s double the effectiveness * For the first 1000 Crucible Holders in history, a special Sticker can be seen on the bottom of the Shell! * The achievement for participating in Aludel v1, of course * Galaxy rings for all `Arcane` Crucibles * *Plus more coming soon!* # Claiming Rewards & Unsubscribing your Tokens At some point you may decide that you are ready to Claim your rewards and Unsubscribe your tokens from a reward program The guide below is designed to step you through that process. {% hint style="info" %} Please note that when you unsubscribe all of the staking token or only a portion of your staking token from the crucible, the reward multiplier for the unsubscribed staking tokens will be reset while the subscribed portion will remain at its current multiplier. For example, suppose you have 1.7 ⚗️-WETH LP subscribed and its reward multiplier is at 10x. You decide to unsubscribe 1 ⚗️-WETH LP. The 0.7 ⚗️-WETH LP remaining (still subscribed) will continue to have a reward multiplier of 10x, while the unsubscribed 1 ⚗️-WETH LP's reward multiplier will be reset. The rewards you receive will be from the unsubscribed 1 ⚗️-WETH LP, not the subscribed 0.7 ⚗️-WETH LP. {% endhint %} 1. To claim your rewards and unsubscribe your tokens open [crucible.wtf](https://www.crucible.wtf/), connect your wallet and visit "Your Crucibles" tab.
2. Once on the "Your Crucibles" tab, locate the locked token that you wish to claim rewards for on the summary page and click the icon and click 'View \ Rewards'
\
3. Your Crucible should now show you some more information, such as how much you have earned in rewards and your current position within the reward program \
4. Either expand the subscription and click or click "Unsubscribe" on the actions section of the reward program.\
5. Fill in the prompt with how much LP you wish to unsubscribe and Click "Claim rewards and unsubscribe".\ \ If you have more than 1 subscription, you can use the visual representation to see how your rewards will be unsubscribed (as it is done on a last in, first out basis) for each subscription that you have.\ \ You can even click the number next to the subscription line in order to select the subscription level you wish to unsubscribe.\
6. You will need to sign the first signature request, then you will be able to see the transaction cost for unsubscribing, pressing cancel will stop the process happening. If you agree and press `OK`, you will be given a second signature request, click Sign.\ \ \
7. You will now get a message indicating that your claim is now being submitted via Flashbots. This is to protect your rewards from frontrunners. The process may take up to 5 minutes to complete. \ \ If you do not have enough ETH in your wallet for the transaction, you will receive a message as below.\
8. If your transaction is successful you will get the message below.\ {% hint style="warning" %} Due to the nature of bundling transactions, it's possible the transaction may not be successful on your first attempt. If this is the case, please try again. The gas fee will only be charged if there is a successful transaction. **If the transaction fails, you will not be charged a gas fee.** {% endhint %} # Using your Crucible as a Smart Wallet/Vault We've now made it easier for you to manage assets by using your Crucible via [crucible.alchemist.wtf](https://crucible.alchemist.wtf) You can easily transfer ERC20 tokens in and out of your Crucible and use your Crucible as a Vault. This also means moving around your assets is much easier as you can easily transfer a Crucible full of tokens to another wallet with a single transaction. ### Viewing your Crucible Contents 1. Open the "Your Crucibles" page 2. Locate the crucible you wish to interact with, and select it by clicking on it if it's not already selected. \
3. The "Summary" tab should be open by default, if it's not, select it. \
4. You can now view your "Locked assets" and "Unlocked assets" in a simple form.\ \ **Locked assets** are tokens that have been subscribed to a reward program.\ **Unlocked Assets** are tokens sitting in your Crucible that are not subscribed to any program and are free to be transferred.\
5. Clicking on the icon on any of your locked assets will load a menu that will let you view the Reward Program that your asset has been locked to.
6. For unlocked assets, clicking the icon will open a menu with an opton to view the "Transfer" tab where you can move your assets around. ### Transferring in or out of your crucible 1. Open the "Your Crucibles" page 2. Locate the crucible you wish to interact with, and select it by clicking on it if it's not already selected. \ 3. Open the "Asset Management" tab \ \ \ \ The "Withdraw" section represents tokens within your Crucible that can be withdrawn \ \ \ This represents tokens within your wallet that can be deposited to your Crucible\ \ You may be presented with a message instead, this would mean that you either have no unlocked tokens available for withdrawing, or you have no tokens in your wallet available for transferring to your Crucible, this may be shown as below:\ \ \ Tokens subscribed to reward programs are not available for withdrawal, you can view all your locked tokens on the "Summary" tab as described in [Viewing your Crucible Contents](/guides/using-your-crucible-as-a-smart-wallet-vault#viewing-your-crucible-contents).
4. If withdrawing from your Crucible, click the "Withdraw" option. **For Depositing to your Crucible, please skip to step 9.**\
5. Enter the amount you wish to withdraw and click "Withdraw from Crucible" \
6. Confirm the transaction.\
7. You will receive a confirmation once this process has been successful.
8. The token you have transferred will now be in your wallet.
9. If depositing tokens into your Crucible, select the "Deposit" option. **For Withdrawing from your Crucible, please go back to step 4.**\
10. Enter the amount you would like to deposit and click 'Deposit to Crucible'\
11. Confirm the transaction\
12. The token will now be transferred into your Crucible and can be viewed in the 'Summary' tab. \ # Viewing your reward performance You can now see the performance of your individual subscriptions within a reward program, so you can keep a better track of your rewards. We've built the page in a way that you have a summary of each subscription and you can further expand it in order to see the individual rewards. ## Viewing a specific subscription 1. Open the Your Crucibles page \ 2. Locate the crucible you want to view, and click on it if its not already selected \
3. You can either click on the "Rewards Tab" or click on the menu of the Locked asset within the "Summary" tab and select the relevant reward program.\
4. Chose the Reward Program you wish to view from the Purple Dropdown menu \
5. Scroll down to "Subscriptions" \ \ \ You can now see your individual subscriptions at an overview, and see how they are performing in terms of rewards, the cyan bar at the bottom of your subscription represents your multiplier growth against the scaling period.
6. Expand the individual subscription you wish to view by clicking on it, the exact rewards you have earned in that subscription \ \ \ You can now also see the amount of days your subscription has existed for. ## Viewing your LP token balances Follow steps 1-4 in [Viewing a specific subscription](/guides/viewing-your-reward-performance#viewing-a-specific-subscription) above, you can hover over (or tap on when using mobile) the locked balance of your subscription. A tooltip will appear showing you the balance of that LP token. \ \ ## Viewing a specific Reward Token value 1. Follow steps 1-6 in [Viewing a specific subscription](/guides/viewing-your-reward-performance#viewing-a-specific-subscription) above 2. Locate the reward token you wish to view the value for and hover over (or tap on when using mobile) the balance. A tooltip will appear showing you the balance of that LP token. # Acquiring ⚗️ & Adding Liquidity ### 1. Getting $MIST ⚗️ Ever traded coins on uniswap? If so you know how to do this already. 1. Head to [Swap $MIST on Uniswap](https://swap.mist.alchemist.wtf) 2. Connect MetaMask wallet 3. You should see something like this: 4. Enter the amount of ⚗️ you wish to purchase, ensuring you have an equivalent value of ETH remaining to use for the subscribing 5. Hit "Swap", make necessary approvals via MetaMask, wait for the transaction to complete * mistX has the ability to let you increase the success rate of a transaction by clicking the Setting icon and choosing to pay a higher transaction fee. 6. If so you know how to do this already. {% hint style="danger" %} Crucible only supports the **Uniswap V2** Liquidity Pool. \ Adding liquidity to the **Uniswap V3** pool is not compatible with the Rewards Program. {% endhint %} 1. Head to [Add LP to $MIST on Uniswap V2](https://app.uniswap.org/#/add/v2/0x88acdd2a6425c3faae4bc9650fd7e27e0bebb7ab/ETH) * Connect MetaMask wallet if not already done so 2. You can claim partial rewards by unsubscribing only a partial balance. Your multiplier will be reset for the portion of tokens that you unsubscribe. ## **Does it matter how many tokens go into the Crucible?** The more tokens that are 'subscribed' to a reward program the larger percentage of the rewards pool you will receive. There is no minimum amount required, but we do suggest you be mindful of the ethereum gas cost when considering this. Adding ERC20 tokens into your Crucible that are not subscribed to a program will not gain you any additional rewards. ## What is the maximum number of Crucibles that can be created? The supply of Crucibles has not been restricted. ## **How does unsubscribing impact the reward multiplier?** Every time you put tokens into a reward program, it keeps track of how long those tokens are Subscribed. The program then applies a reward multiplier (if applicable). Using `Aludel v1.5` as an example; the program has a max multiplier of `10x` a minimum multiplier of `1x` and a scaling period of `60 days`. Let's say you have `10 LP` tokens currently staked and there is a total of `1000LP` tokens staked to the pool, this means you have staked `1%` of the total staked amount in the program. That means that you should be eligible to `1%` of the tokens that are available in the program. However when you start, you are at `1x` of your multiplier, what this means is that you would be entitled to `% of total stake * min multiplier / max multiplier = your current eligibility` or `1% * 1/10 = 0.1%` of the pool. Let's assume the pool has `100 MIST` tokens, at `1x` you would be entitled to 0.1 MIST tokens and at `10x` you would be entitled to `1 MIST` token. Every second you are in the pool during the scaling period of `60 days`, the portion of the pool that you are eligible for grows towards your full eligibility. The calculation has a direct impact to the amount of rewards that are displayed to you and is always represented in the amount of rewards displayed. To work out what percentage is available to you at any time, you can work out your multiplier with the following formula:\ `((your max percentage of pool * duration staked days * (max multiplier - 1))/max multiplier)/scaling period days) + (your max percentage of pool * (1/max multiplier))` With the example above, at 10 days you would be eligible to `0.25%` of the pool, at 40 days you are eligible to `0.7%` of the pool `1%*10*(9)/10/60+(1%*(1/10)) = 0.25%` Once you reach `10x` you would be entitled to 1 MIST from that balance. If another 100 MIST gets dropped into the program and is fully released (deposits have their own release mechanism) - then you will be eligible for 2 MIST in total (1 MIST from before and 1 MIST from the newest deposit) These examples are on the assumption that the participation of the pool doesn't change, but simple enough to demonstrate how the multiplier works. ## **Can I somehow see how much rewards I have acquired in the meantime?** You can see the accumulated reward for your crucible by using the UI at [crucible.wtf](https://crucible.wtf) and the accumulated Uniswap LP fees earned using [apy.vision](https://apy.vision/) or [croco.finance](https://croco.finance/) (Uniswap LP fees earned will show as ⚗️, and WETH or ETH). ![](https://3929406308-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-legacy-files/o/assets%2F-Mg-2y9A5ib8UJscJmXU%2F-MgCdCaSrL6GUQ_dyVPd%2F-MgCeF2lM9EpqFfUYaE2%2FUntitled%20\(1\).png?alt=media\&token=e3098b30-64c4-42ad-8b6f-a8b5d9945036) ## **Can I add more tokens to an existing Crucible?** Yes, your Crucible is able to hold an infinite amount of tokens. If you are adding tokens to an existing subscription, each Subscription event is independent, so any token you add will start their own multiplier independently. Subscribing more tokens will not reset any other reward multipliers that are already in play. ## **Does “Claim & Unsubscribe” remove my tokens & rewards from the Crucible?** No. This only claims the rewards earned, your tokens will remain in the Crucible until you use the Assets Management tab to withdraw your tokens. ## **Does withdrawing all tokens destroy the Crucible?** No, it only empties it. You retain the empty Crucible. Please note that after a Crucible is created, it cannot be destroyed. ## **Can I transfer the Crucible NFT to another wallet?** Yes, the ownership of the NFT (and the Subscribed LP tokens) can be transferred to any ERC721 compatible wallet. This can be done via the "[Transfer](/guides/what-can-i-do-with-my-new-crucible#transferring-your-crucible-to-another-wallet)" option on [crucible.wtf](https://crucible.wtf) ## **If I transfer my Crucible from one wallet to another will that reset the multiplier?** No, transferring your Crucible does not affect anything. Reference: ​​ Crucibles have also been designed to allow a user to “Rage Quit” from any delegate at any given time, the cost to do so is the forfeit of rewards accumulated for the specific program, allowing users to safely release their staked tokens even in the event of interacting with a rogue reward/delegate contract or if a contract is emergency shutdown. This prevents projects from malicious intent, for example trying to permanently lock a users staked tokens. This implementation is currently live on Ethereum mainnet & Avalanche. There are no forced staking periods or reward vesting in our contracts, the programs were designed so users are free to enter and leave as they wish. ### **Multiplier** This is a scaling mechanism that grows scales a users entitlement of rewards up to their full % of the pool that they are entitled to. The multiplier contains 2 aspects - the min/max multiplier and the scaling duration. #### Example > Reward program is configured to be: `1x` to `10x` over `10 days` > > A user has staked 10% of the staking tokens in the program; the multiplier mechanism means that they would not be eligible for 10% of the tokens in the reward pool straight away, they would need to scale up to that over the defined period. > > If the users share of the pool should be around 10 MIST, the multiplier in this example will make the user only be able to access 1 MIST at day 1, 2 MIST at day 2 etc. ***As the program is share based, a users share of the pool can also change depending on the activity of other users.*** ### **Funding** This has a reward funding release mechanism that can be used to release the reward tokens to users over a set amount of time. Funding an Aludel requires a smart contract call for the 'Reward Token', bonus tokens can be dropped directly into the Aludel pool without any contract call required, the bonus token share will be calculated based on the users share of the main Reward token. Using the Aludel v1.5 for example, we deposit into our Aludel every 14 days and have defined a release period of 1209600 seconds (14 days). #### Example > You fund a program 864000 tokens over 10 days (864000 seconds)\ > \ > The program will release 1 token per second that can be redeemed. \ > \ > The distribution of that token will depend on a users current eligibility of % of pool based on their multiplier and share size Using the Multiplier and Funding release mechanisms in conjunction with each other is beneficial to create longer term alignment and will provide a scaling experience to the user. ### **Token Support** The reward program contracts only support ERC20 tokens, so, for example, Uniswap V3 positions (NFTs) wouldn't be supported. Any ERC20 token to be subscribed/staked (except rebasing tokens). Rebasing tokens can be used as reward tokens and the program can support up to 50 different tokens. These two articles might be useful to see the process and understand about Crucibles/Aludels a bit further: [https://docs.alchemist.wtf/crucible/guides-1/how-do-i-mint-a-crucible ]() # Reward Program Configuration ### **Variables** `Staking Token` (1) - This is the token you wish for users to 'lock' up to receive rewards, limited to ERC20, recommend to use LP tokens or similar for maximum benefit (LP farming) `Reward Token` (1) - This is the main token that you are rewarding to the user for locking the above token, this is the token that will be used for the main accounting. `Bonus Token` (0-50) - These are additional tokens that you wish to reward your users, these tokens will be available to the user based on the % of reward tokens the user is entitled to. Multiplier: `Floor`, `Ceiling`, `Scaling Duration` #### Multiplier Example 1: > Floor = 1 > > Ceiling = 10 > > Scaling duration = 60 days For this configuration users will start at 1x (10%) and scale to the ceiling of 10x (100%) over 60 days. #### Multiplier Example 2: > Floor = 1 > > Ceiling = 3 > > Scaling duration = 30 days For this configuration users will start at 1x (33.33%) and scale to the ceiling of 3x (100%) over 30 days. ### **Funding Events** Funding the reward program can be done in which ever strategy that you feel suits your requirements. There is a slow release mechanism that can be used to release tokens to users, over a set amount of seconds. Funding an aludel requires a smart contract call when the main `Reward Token` is being deposited. A `Bonus token` can be dropped directly into the Aludel pool without any contract call. Using the Aludel v1.5 for example, we deposit into our Aludel every 14 days and have defined a release period of `1209600` seconds (14 days). You can deposit as frequently as you like and set any release times that suits you, these durations can overlap and do not impact each other. Some of our partners have expressed interest to deposit weekly into their reward programs so they can have a granular control over the rewards depending on the participation levels. If you wanted to do a large initial deposit as a one-off funding, that option is possible if you wanted to have a low maintenance approach. If you decide to use a single large deposit with a long release period, please consider a larger multiplier scaling period. If you over-fund the program and wish to extract the tokens that were deposited the only way to do is by shutting down the whole contract (irreversible) - so users who haven't claimed before the shutdown will lose their rewards.
